Come along and plant your ideas for the future in an interactive Future Forest.

In January 2018 a series of workshops were held at ArtPlay with a group of 10 young artists. They developed new imagery reflecting a climate safe future Melbourne; projection mapped artwork for a Future Forest landscape; and new soundscape elements. Our artists will incorporate this new content into a localised interpretation of Illuminate 2030. This interactive work will be presented at ArtPlay as a part of the Sustainable Living Festival.

Illuminate 2030A roaming projection performance about climate change made in collaboration with local communities

Collaborative roaming projection art

Illuminate 2030 is a roaming projection performance that explores climate change scenarios with local communities. Animated wildlife creatures, whose skins are alive with imagery created by our artists, climate scientists and the public, roam through night time festivals. Side by side, interacting, we see two different future worlds colliding: one where climate change is addressed, one where it is ignored.

This Winter and Spring Illuminate 2030 will be appearing at the Glow Winter Arts Festival in Stonnington and the EcoArts Festival in Port Phillip Bay. Scroll down for event details.
